Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Hold the power button and select 'Power Off' to shut down the phone completely. This is crucial to prevent electrical damage or short circuits during the repair.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a heat gun to gently warm the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive. Use a suction cup to lift the back cover slightly and insert a plastic opening tool to carefully pry it off. Work your way around the edges, applying gentle heat as needed.
Disconnect the Battery
Using the Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the battery connector bracket. Use a spudger to disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard to prevent any power flow.
Remove the Old Screen
Use the heat gun to gently heat the edges of the screen to loosen the adhesive. Carefully use a plastic opening tool to separate the screen from the device frame. Be cautious not to damage the folding hinge or other internal components.
Install the Replacement Screen
Align the new screen with the device frame. Gently press down the screen edges to secure it with the adhesive strips. Ensure the screen is properly seated and aligned with the folding hinge.
Reconnect the Battery
Reattach the battery connector to the motherboard using the spudger. Secure the battery connector bracket with screws using the Phillips #00 screwdriver.
Reattach the Back Cover
Align the back cover with the device and press down firmly along the edges. Use the heat gun to slightly warm the edges and ensure the adhesive seals properly.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device to ensure the new screen is functioning correctly. Test the touch functionality and check for any display issues.
