Follow these 7 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Prepare the Device
Ensure the Galaxy Z Fold 5 5G is completely powered off. Remove the SIM card tray using a SIM eject tool. Place the device on a clean, static-free work surface.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to gently heat the edges of the back cover to loosen the adhesive. Carefully insert a plastic opening pick between the back cover and the frame, sliding it around the edges to separate the cover. Lift the cover gently using a suction cup and set it aside.
Disconnect the Battery
Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the battery connector shield. Carefully remove the shield and use a plastic spudger to disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard.
Remove the Inner Display
Gently heat the edges of the inner display to soften the adhesive. Carefully insert a plastic opening pick under the display edges. Slowly and gently separate the display from the frame, being cautious of the connected cables. Disconnect the display cable with tweezers.
Install the New Display
Align the new display with the frame and connect the display cable. Carefully apply adhesive strips to the edges of the new display. Gently press the display into place, ensuring it is securely attached to the frame.
Reassemble the Device
Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard and secure the connector shield with screws. Align the back cover and gently press it into place, ensuring the adhesive sets properly.
Power On and Test the Device
Insert the SIM card tray back into the device. Power on the Galaxy Z Fold 5 5G and check the functionality of the new screen to ensure it responds correctly to touch and displays properly.
