Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button until the power options appear. Select 'Power Off' and wait for the device to fully shut down.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry around the edges of the back cover. Carefully work your way around until the cover is fully detached. Take care not to damage the clips holding it in place.
Disconnect the Battery
Locate the battery connector on the motherboard. Use a spudger to gently lift and disconnect the battery connector to prevent any electrical issues during repair.
Heat and Remove the Front Screen
Using a heat gun or hairdryer, apply heat evenly around the edges of the screen to soften the adhesive. Place a suction cup on the screen and gently pull up while using a plastic opening tool to separate the screen from the frame. Take care not to apply excessive force.
Disconnect the Display Cable
Locate the display cable connector on the motherboard. Use tweezers to carefully lift the retaining flap and gently pull the cable out of the connector.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen and connect the display cable to the motherboard. Secure the cable by pressing down the retaining flap.
Secure the New Screen
Apply adhesive strips or double-sided tape around the edges of the frame. Carefully position the new screen onto the frame and press down firmly to ensure it adheres properly.
Reconnect the Battery
Reattach the battery connector to the motherboard by aligning it and pressing down gently.
Reattach the Back Cover
Align the back cover with the device and press down around the edges to snap it back into place securely.
Power On the Device and Test
Press the power button to turn on the device. Check the new screen for functionality and ensure the touch response is accurate.
