Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Hold the power button and slide to power off your iPad Pro. Wait until the screen goes completely dark before proceeding.
Heat the Screen Edges
Use an iOpener or heat gun to gently heat the edges of the iPad Pro screen. This will soften the adhesive holding the screen in place. Be careful not to overheat, keeping the temperature moderate to avoid internal damage.
Apply Suction Cup and Insert Plastic Opening Tool
Attach a suction cup near the edge of the screen. Gently lift to create a gap and insert a plastic opening tool. Carefully slide the tool around the edges to separate the screen from the frame.
Remove the Display
Once the adhesive is loosened, lift the screen slowly, but do not fully remove it yet. Disconnect the display cables by carefully using a spudger to lift them from their connectors on the logic board.
Remove Old Adhesive
With the screen removed, use tweezers or a spudger to remove any remaining adhesive from the frame. Clean the edges with a microfiber cloth to ensure a clean surface for the new adhesive.
Install Replacement Screen
Carefully connect the new screen's cables to the logic board. Align the new screen with the frame, ensuring that all clips and connectors are properly seated.
Secure the Screen
Apply new adhesive strips to the frame of the iPad. Press the screen firmly into place, ensuring it is secure and properly aligned.
Test the New Screen
Power on your iPad Pro and test the new screen for responsiveness and display quality. Ensure all functionalities such as touch and display are working correctly.
Reassemble the Device
Once testing is complete, finalize the assembly by securing any loose components and ensuring the screen is adhered properly. Clean the screen with a microfiber cloth to remove any fingerprints or smudges.
