Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Prepare the iPad
Ensure the iPad is completely powered off by holding the power button and sliding to power off. Place the device on a soft, static-free surface to begin the repair.
Heat the Edges of the Screen
Use an iOpener or heat gun to gently heat the edges of the iPad Pro's screen. This will soften the adhesive holding the screen in place. Be cautious not to overheat the device.
Lift the Screen
Attach a suction handle near the top edge of the screen and gently pull to create a small gap. Insert a plastic pick or spudger into the gap and carefully work around the edges to loosen the adhesive. Take care not to damage the internal components.
Disconnect the Battery
Remove the screws securing the battery connector cover and gently lift the cover. Use a spudger to disconnect the battery connector to prevent any electrical issues during the repair.
Remove the Old Screen
Carefully disconnect the display cables that connect the screen to the motherboard using tweezers. Once disconnected, remove the old screen completely.
Install the New Screen
Connect the new screen's cables to the motherboard. Ensure they are securely connected. Align the new screen with the frame and press it into place.
Reattach the Battery Connector
Reconnect the battery connector and replace the connector cover, securing it with screws.
Seal the Screen
Apply new adhesive strips around the edge of the iPad where the screen meets the frame. Firmly press the screen down to ensure a good seal.
Test the New Screen
Power on the iPad and test the new screen for functionality. Ensure touch response and display quality are satisfactory.
