Follow these 7 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Ensure your Surface Pro 10 is completely powered off. Press and hold the power button until the device shuts down completely. Double-check that the device is not connected to power.
Remove the Screen
Use a heat gun on a low setting to gently heat the edges of the screen to soften the adhesive. Carefully use a suction cup to lift a corner of the screen while using plastic opening tools to pry around the edges. Take your time to avoid cracking the screen.
Disconnect the Battery
Once the screen is lifted, use a T5 Torx screwdriver to remove the screws securing the battery connector. Carefully disconnect the battery from the motherboard using a plastic spudger.
Remove the Old Battery
Use the PH00 Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws holding the battery in place. Gently lift the battery out of the device, being cautious not to bend or puncture it.
Install the New Battery
Place the new battery into the compartment and secure it with the screws. Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard, ensuring it is firmly attached.
Reattach the Screen
Before reattaching the screen, replace any worn adhesive with new adhesive strips. Carefully align the screen and press it into place. Ensure the adhesive is set by applying gentle pressure around the edges.
Power On and Test
Power on the device and verify that the new battery is functioning correctly. Check the device for any operational issues and ensure the screen is responsive.
