Follow these 7 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Remove SIM Card
Ensure that your tablet is powered off completely. Use the SIM card eject tool to remove the SIM card tray from the device. This prevents potential damage to the SIM card during repair.
Apply Heat to Loosen Adhesive
Using a heat gun or hairdryer, apply heat evenly around the edges of the tablet's screen for 1-2 minutes. This will soften the adhesive securing the screen, making it easier to remove.
Remove the Screen
Place a suction cup near the edge of the screen and gently pull upwards to create a small gap. Insert the plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully slide it around the perimeter to separate the screen from the body. Use a spudger to help lift the screen as needed. Be cautious of flex cables while removing the screen.
Disconnect Screen Cables
Once the screen is lifted, you will see the flex cables connecting the screen to the motherboard. Use a spudger to disconnect these cables by gently prying them off their connectors.
Remove Old Adhesive
With the screen removed, carefully clean the frame of the tablet to remove any old adhesive residue. Use tweezers and isopropyl alcohol if necessary, ensuring a clean surface for the new screen.
Install New Screen
Connect the new screen's flex cables to the motherboard, ensuring each connection is secure. Align the new screen with the device frame and gently press down to adhere it. Use adhesive strips or tape to secure the screen in place.
Reassemble and Test
Reinsert the SIM card tray. Power on the device to test the new screen for functionality. Ensure touch responsiveness and display quality are satisfactory. If everything is functioning correctly, the repair is complete.
